Technical Analyst


Trevital is looking for a Technical Analyst to join our Agile Team supporting a high visibility public facing websites in the Health IT arena. The Technical Analyst is capable of thriving on a scrum-based agile software development team; to help understand what users need and document those needs in the form of implementable and testable user stories. You will be part of a highly talented, dynamic development team that will be using a set of modern technologies (Drupal, PhP, React, AngularJS, Node.js, Solr Search etc.), human-centered design, and DevOps approaches. Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite is a must to make updates and changes to the suite to meet the teams goals.

Responsibilities

Conduct requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and business owners

Create Entity Relationship Diagrams and process flow diagrams to support user stories o Create wireframes for the user stories and review them with users and gather feedback

Collaborate with Visual/UI designer during the usability testing sessions and add/update stories based on user responseDraft user stories and meet with users to validate and enhance them

Breakdown the roadmap into epics and group user stories under them o Work with the Scrum Master, customers and developers to write user stories which are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small and testable

Understand software architecture and framework to be able to write backend/technical user stories

Responsible for ensuring user stories include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality

Collaborate with and support developers during their design and development efforts to provide support for their analysis of the story o Maintain and Create technical documents and store in Confluence o Participate as a member of the Development team o Improve and expand knowledge and skill sets with regard to current trends and changes in software development industry and be up to date with latest design trends

Proactively contribute to the quality of the product by seeking and proposing new or alternative approaches to address the requirements

Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Scrum Meetings and other agile activities

Experiences

Minimum of 5 years' of experience supporting IT applications A sufficient understand of various application architectures including client/server, web applications, database platforms, Software as a Service (SaaS)

Experience supporting IT systems in a mature enterprise IT environment including the required IT Services Management components (Service Catalog, Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, etc.) and following IT processes (SDLC and ITIL)

Required Qualifications

Experience as a Technical Business Analyst on an agile software development team

BS or BA degree o Expertise in creating Entity Relationship Diagrams and process flow diagrams

Experience in Human Centered Design approach for developing digital services
Excellent communication skills
Candidate must reside in the United States
Bachelor's degree required, strong preference for Computer Science field of study
Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
Experience working in the healthcare industry
Federal Government contracting work experience
Prior experience working remotely full-time
